stuff has always been about people, not product. our art classes continue in that tradition. our creative classes are a journey into the process of making art. If you ask any artist what inspires them to create, you will get an endless stream of answers. art surrounds us. we find art in the simplest of abstract paintings and in the most complex of assemblage pieces. but what we often seek is the understanding of the inspiration and the process artists capture . . . that intangible quality that gives it life . . . that makes art resonate in your thoughts & emotions and creates personal energy. |

"play with clay" This 1.5 hour class will be taught by local artist Amy Meya. Many of the basics of working in clay will be taught by this prolific ceramist. You will learn how to pinch clay to make bird and other animal shapes, and you can make any animal of your choice. This class is open to anyone age 7 and above, and each session is limited to 15 people. Amy believes this would be an awesome class to take with a child. So, if you are younger than 7, coming with a parent or adult may be best. All materials will be provided and will be artist grade. Just bring your imagination and creative spirit. Amy will fire the pieces and return them to STUFF, and you will be contacted when they are ready. Each class is $20 per person. class dates:

"mixed media mosaics" Join local artist Kelly Aaron for an amazing adventure into the world of found object mixed media mosaics. This creative class will have you using broken dishes, buttons, beads, and junk jewelry to conjure up a truly unique piece of art. You need only bring your creative self to the classes, and she will supply all the goodies and artist grade materials. You can choose to create a picture frame, a plaque, or a switch plate. You must sign up for two classes - one to glue and one to grout. $75 per person for both classes. class dates:
