stuff has always been about people, not product. our art adventures continue in that tradition. our creative classes are a journey into the process of making art. If you ask any artist what inspires them to create, you will get an endless stream of answers. art surrounds us. we find art in the simplest of abstract paintings and in the most complex of assemblage pieces. but what we often seek is the understanding of the inspiration and the process artists capture . . . that intangible quality that gives it life . . . that makes art resonate in your thoughts & emotions and creates personal energy.

jane hosey-stern

jane's passions for both creating art and counseling for over 28 years have combusted into self-expressive "life coaching" classes. these phenomenally fun classes support jane's belief that people of all ages express themselves best when immersed in the creative play of art.

jane has her bachelor's, master's and educational specialist degrees in counseling and guidance. she has worked as a therapist and counselor for almost 30 years. her energy is boundless.

jane's honorary advanced degree in dumpster diving has also been beneficial in her journey as an artist.

casey & sloane simmons

sloane and casey simmons each have over 23 years of experience in educational and event planning. they have been committed to supporting the creative arts community of kansas city at their store, stuff, for 10 years.

their artistic experience includes fine art, creative interiors, space design, color consulting, educational event management, graphic arts, and community outreach.

the simmons sisters believe that our world and our lives can be filled with creativity.

their honorary advanced degrees are in history of snacking.

there is an artist inside everyone.
